What a
great high school season our swimmers had. We had 8 swimmers who
competed for their high school teams and 7 swam at the section meet!!!
Adriana Contreras and Brandon Toy both represented St. Mary's High
School. Adriana swam the 200 and 100 free as well as a relay.
Brandon Toy swam the 100 breaststroke and the 200 medley relay which
qualified for finals and placed 14th. Manvir Dhaliwal swims for
Bear Creek High School and swam the 200 IM, 100 back, the 200 Medley
Relay, and the 400 Free Relay. Manvir swam to best times in all
his events and just missed qualifying for Saturday's finals in the 100
back, placing 17th by a mere .23. Riley Smith and Landon Puls
represented Lincoln High School. Riley swam the 200 and 500 free
as well as 200 Medley and 200 Free Relays. Riley swam to best
times in all her events placing 4th in 200 free and 3rd in the 500 free.
Landon swam the 200 IM as well as the 200 Free Relay and the 400 Free
Relay. Landon placed 15th in the 200 IM. Brittany Aoyama
swam for Linden High School and swam the 50 free, 100 fly and the 200
Medley Relay. Completing a very impressive freshman year, Brittany
finished 2nd in the 50 Free in VARSITY, and 4th in the 100 Fly.
Katelyne Herrington competing for Tokay High School as our lone senior
swam the 200 Free, 100 Fly, 200 Free Relay and the 400 Free Relay.
Katie placed 2nd in both her individual events breaking her own Section
Record in the 100 Fly during prelims. Katie has had a great age
group and high school career and now she prepares for her college career
at UNLV!
CONGRATS to all our NorCal High School swimmers. You all swam
wonderfully all year!!!! |
